Nationwide Recap: Watkins Glen

All day it was a battle of Busch vs. Busch. Back and forth the two brothers went, throughout the whole race. But after a long, valiant effort, Kurt Busch prevailed over Kyle after having the pole. It did take a GWC finish for Kurt to get the win however.

There were many faces of cup drivers in today's Nationwide race at The Glen. Some where the usuals like Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch, and Joey Logano. Logano who was kicking off his start of Loganothon this weekend. But there were also a couple unfamiliar Cup drivers in there. Kurt Busch joined us filling in for Brad Keselowski in the #22 Penske Dodge. Paul Menard was in the #33 KHI Chevy. Then there was ol' "5 Time", Mr. Jimmie Johnson, in the #7 JR Motorsports Chevy. All of the Cup guys gave us a good show this weekend. Kurt even prevailed with the win as we know, and all others finished in the top six.

We also had another face from a different series joining us today. James Buescher from the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series took a car for a spin this week. He was piloting the #30 Turner Motorsports car today. Buescher, who has an off week from the truck series, put up a valiant effort with a 17th place finish.

Now, our points leader coming into the race was Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Stenhouse went through a lot this day. He suffered from some damage about halfway through the race. But still, Stenhouse Jr. managed a 15th place finish and kept control of the points lead by 12 points over Reed Sorenson.

The top ten finishers for today's  Zippo 200 at the Glen ended with Kurt Busch as your winner. He was followed by Jimmie Johnson, Joey Logano, Kyle Bush, and Carl Edwards. Then Paul Menard had sixth, followed by Ron Fellows, Aric Almirola, Trevor Bayne, and Elliot Sadler.

Congrats Kurt on your win today! Best of luck to you and everyone else tomorrow. We hope to see just as good of racing again. -Reba
